Online poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier announcing "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the house and of course every one of the other gamblers are given 5 cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s first card, you must in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is equal to your original bet, which means that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the bet is the face off. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, with a figure on par with the initial bet. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The casino pony’s up money equal to your bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
