Texas Holdem is all about individuals and seating. All rounded Texas Hold’em enthusiasts agree that arrangement in no cap Holdem is fundamentally important. Playing your hole cards in last spot might be much more beneficial than in starting poker position. This is due to the fact that much more information is gathered prior to acting.
As an example, I played in a $1-$2 no limit cash game at a local poker room. I bumbled in holding 2, 9 unsuited on the croupier button, just to see some action. Flop arrived A-A-4. A person in early position made a $15 bet. 2 players fold and it was now my turn to act. I should have dropped out, but his action felt a little odd. I identified this person as a weak-tight guy, and typically if he held the best hand he would simply check, so I called.
The turn arrived with a 7, meaning it was a A-A-4-7. My opponent placed another wager of $20. I deliberated a little bit, but made a decision to re-raise another $30thirty dollars on top of his $20. He folds and I take the pot.
Sitting at late position allows you an idea where you sit by seeing how other enthusiasts behave and bet. On the flip side, players at starting position could use their poker spot to check-raise the late seated antagonists and trap them afterwords at the end. In Texas Holdem, both ends, last and starting must be played cautiously.
