Have you observed the new PokerPro hold’em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about three weeks ago when I took a short holiday with my wife to the WinStar Gambling establishment in Oklahoma.

As I waited for my turn to be summoned at the live tables, I observed how the other individuals at the PokerPro tables interface with each other. It was fairly interesting to say the least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there had been no poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the actual live experience was stagnant. Maybe I was the only one that spotted this, but I did observe the players on the table had a lifeless quality to them. The reason for this may be since there was no human discussion with the dealer, the ambiance was rather boring and the players looked bored to tears. It was almost as if I was seeing a live variant of an internet holdem poker room instead of being seated with hot bodied humans. It was a little bit spooky and I kept flashing back to a show of ST:TNG and the holodeck malfunctioned.

Since the waiting time for the stay tables was over an hour, I made a decision to observe how the game play was and to understanding this new hold em poker gaming technologies. Following playing a couple of hands, I really felt like I was playing at residence. The lack of activity at the table was the primary reason. I like to shuffle my chips, stack my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those items are feasible at these computer tables.

One more thing I discovered was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I played a good deal of hands at the PokerPro table and discovered that the wager on was a great deal like an internet texas holdem poker site. That might have been just a coincidence, but I found it to become quite odd.

Soon after wagering a few rounds with this "new holdem poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables were not for me. I’m better off betting texas holdem poker on the internet at home and not travel the distance. If WinStar Casino were to receive rid of the are living poker tables, I think they would loose a good deal of gamblers.
